Our Aims and Objectives

Students at Sir William Ramsay
School are encouraged to be self-disciplined, considerate
and respectful. They aspire to be team players, goal
orientated with the ability to persevere; gaining the skills
to communicate effectively and to think things through
critically in preparation for higher academic study and the
world of work.
Aims
Creativity by
encouraging all areas of the school to promote original
thinking.
Positive attitudes by
providing for the spiritual, moral, social and cultural
development where all students of all students.
Positive community by
providing pastoral care that provides support for all
students and an environment where all students are able to
enjoy learning.
Positive experiences by
providing a broad, balanced curriculum that encourages
students to want to learn and understand more both inside
and outside the classroom.
Objectives
In order to bring about our
aims we have identified the following objectives:
To provide an ethos which
celebrates individual differences so that all can become
respectful
and caring of others.
To provide an education that
gives pupils the essential skills of literacy,
numeracy and ICT.
To provide opportunities to
students to develop their communication skills and to
be
tolerant of all in the community.
To offer a learning
environment to enable students to become critical
thinkers and to be self-disciplined and self directed
in their desire to learn.
