Welcome to the Chess bulletin board! Feel free to post questions or comments on any chess-related topic you like from beginner questions, to game analysis, to improvement tips, to gossip about Grandmasters. Players and fans of all levels are welcome so don't feel our boards are only for strong players. All sorts of chess fans hang out here, particularly newcomers and intermediate level players.
Please note that although this board requires a username and password for access (which you will select), the e-mail address the registration process asks for is not verified. If you don't want your real name or e-mail address publicized on the board, just use a fake one and it will work fine.
Note: usernames and passwords are case sensitive so "User" is not the same as "user". If you forget your username or password, feel free to register for a new one.
If you have problems getting a username registered, here are a couple of hints:
- Names are case sensitive. You can use upper and lower case letters, just be sure to remember just how you did it.
- No spaces are allowed in the username but you can have spaces in the display name.
- These usernames are good on any of the boards at About.com -- over 500 topic areas -- so you may run across one already being used. Just add a number or change the capitalization and then it will probably work.
