"I was fortunate enough to Purchase a bottle of Sulka before the salesman at Stanley Korshak informed me recently that it is no longer produced.
Is there anyway I can procure a bottle of Sulka today?
Please
help me!"

Doctor
Basenotes Says: I once owned a Sulka tie. Lionel brought
one back for me after one of his many trips. The tie was
a delight - made of silk, it was classic, yet contemporary.
Sulka
began in 1895, when salesman, Amos Sulka and shirtmaker,
Leon Wormser started trading on Lower Broadway. In 1998
just over 100 years after the company was founded, Sulka
launched it's own masculine fragrance.
Unfortunately,
after that it all goes a bit pear-shaped for the classy
haberdashery. In early 2002 Sulka's owner, Vendome Luxury
Group (also responsible for Cartier Jewelery, Mont Blanc
Pens and Dunhill Leather Goods), decides to close down
the business, citing today's changing trend in more stylish
designer brands. A true shame.
This
should explain why the fragrance has disappeared. Though
if anyone knows of a current stockist, or if the fragrance
is produced somewhere then please contact me.
In
the meantime, I'd suggest checking on eBay, or placing
a notice on the Basenotes
Wanted Message Board
