For Immediate Release
Washington, DC

In addition to John Kerry’s official Naval record and the After-Action Combat reports (“spot” reports), the Command History of Coastal Division 11 – 1969 and the Presidential Unit Citation for Task Force 115 are now available on www.johnkerry.com.

The After-Action Combat reports, Command History of Coastal Division 11 – 1969 and the Presidential Unit Citation for Task Force 115 were made public years ago by the U.S. Navy at the Naval Historical Center, Operational Archives Branch in Washington, DC, and are now posted on Kerry’s campaign website.

Task Force 115, which included Coastal Division 11 and Kerry’s SWIFT boats, was awarded the “Presidential Unit Citation,” signed by then-President Nixon for their work from December of 1968 to March of 1969.  This is referenced on the official “Unit Awards and Citations Master List” maintained by the U.S. Navy, which is available at http://neds.nebt.daps.mil/o1650.htm.

The campaign has posted all of these public documents online after scanning them in.  There are now over two hundred pages of information online about Kerry’s military record and the history of the SWIFT boats and Coastal Command in which he served.
