AAC - Bear Creek Scout Reservation
On the 1,200 acres of this reservation in the Texas Hill Country, youth, & and adult volunteers of all ages enjoy weekends, day excursions, & weeklong summer camping. Bear Creek is operated by the Alamo Area Council & is about 20 miles west of Kerrville.
AAC - McGimsey Scout Park

BTC - Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch
Sometimes also referred to as Davis Mountain Scout Camp. The ranch is located about twenty-five miles north of Fort Davis, in the Davis Mountains. The ranch is located in some of the most rugged country in the State of Texas, with legends of Indians.
BTC - Camp Pegasus
This is a camp operated by the Buffalo Trail Council. Short-term camping, weekend camping. 8 campsites. Information is from BSAcamps.org. The council website makes no mention of this camp property.
BTC - Camp Thomas
With 50 acres, this is a Short-term camping, weekend camping facility with 10 campsites. Directions: Two miles off Hwy 87, approximately 3 miles south of Big Spring, Texas. On the road to Big Spring Country Club.
BTC - Hughes Aquatic Base
This unique aquatic base is located just outside of Colorado City, TX. They have Wood Badge training, College of Commissioner Science, Junior Leader Training and of course an Aquatic Camp. There is swimming, sailing, canoeing, boating & other events.

C10C - Circle 10 Council Camps
This is the general information page for the four properties of the Dallas Texas based council, one of the largest in the country. They have four camps each with their own web pages but useful information is also on this site which has info on all camps.
C10C - Camp Brooklawn
NO LONGER OPERATIONAL - With 5 campsites the 177 acres facility is located in the Southwest Oak Cliff area of Dallas. This is a large wooded area with space for day camps and other activities.
C10C - Camp Constantin
Opened in 1946, Camp Constantin is now permanently available to the Scouts of the Circle Ten Council. This camp includes the Jack Furst Aquatics Base.
C10C - Camp James Ray
Camp James Ray is located on the Texas side of Lake Texoma. The fresh, clean air & refreshing view of this man-made lake provides a great back drop. The close proximity to Dallas makes this a great weekend camp Also known as Camp Grayson.
C10C - Camp Trinity Trails
NO LONGER OPERATIONAL - Located on 652 acres forty miles southeast of Dallas, the facility was a wilderness camp with four camp sites. The camp has a large gravel pit lake with good fishing.
C10C - Camp Wisdom
Circle 10 Council's "In -Town" camp, 344 wooded acres located in Duncanville. Facilities include several Troop activity shelters, Archery range, rifle range and sports area. Twelve sites are available for Troop camping. A Dining Lodge, & Camp Office.
C10C - Clements Scout Ranch
Camp Cherokee and Camp Meisenbach are located on the magnificent 3,300 acre Clement Scout Ranch near Athens, Texas. Camp Cherokee operates as a regular summer camp for the Circle 10 Council.
CAC - Camp Alma Irvin McHenry
Operated by the Capitol Area Council, this undeveloped camp is suitable for weekend camping with drinking water available, but no bathroom facilities. Property has several ponds & a training cabin. Camp is about 10 miles north of Giddings TX on FM 141..
CAC - Camp Rathgeber
A small camp of 15 acres in East Travis County, Camp Rathgeber is Best suited for day use. Bathroom facilities, drinking water, and electricity not available.
CAC - Camp Tom Wooten
Part of the Lost Pines Scout Reservation, Camp Tom Wooten has eight campsites. Each campsite has shower and latrine facilities and is used in the summer as the Cub Scout Resident Camp.
CAC - Green Dickson Scout Camp
This camp, operated by the Capitol Area Council is 335 acres & includes:15 camp sites, a central shower facility, activity shelters with electricity, and a 6 acre pond. Drinking water is available. Home Summer Silver Pines JLT. Near Shiner TX.
CAC - Lost Pines Scout Reservation
This is the major operational camp of the Capitol Area Council, located in the Lost Pines of Bastrop TX. Lost Pines has 20 campsites. There is a new 62 foot (tallest of any Scout Camp in Texas) Climbing & Rappel Tower & an Air Conditioned Dining Hall.
CAC - Roy D. Rivers Wilderness Camp
Located on 400 acres, this Capitol Area Council property has been designated as a wilderness camp-bathroom facilities, drinking water and electricty not available. Near Rosanke Texas.
CAC - Wolf Mountain Scout Ranch
Near Llano Texas, this Capitol Area Council property of 650 acres has 8 campsites and 6 outpost campsites. Wolf Mountain presently has two activity shelters complete with electricity; one is a year-round facility. The camp has a 20 acre lake.
CAC - Wolf Mountain Scout Ranch
Located 5 miles West of Llano & operated by the Capitol Area Council, this camp has Camping, Hiking, Fishing & is known as the Deer Capital of Texas.
CVC - Baden - Powell Park
Baden Powell is located within the city limits of San Angelo, on Lake Nasworthy. It is one of three camps of the Concho Valley Council.
CVC - Camp Fawcett
Fawcett is located in the Hill Country, just north of Barksdale, Texas off Ranch Road 335. Barksdale is located between Uvalde, and Rocksprings. It is operated by the Concho Valley Council.
CVC - Camp Sol Mayer
Sol Mayer is located just east of Ft. McKavett, Texas. Ft. McKavett is located between Menard and Eldorado, off US Highway 190. It is a weekend camp operated by the Concho Valley Council.
CVC - Camp Sol Mayer
Camp Sol Mayer has a rich and colorful history. The 315 acre camp on the San Saba River was given to the Concho Valley Council, BSA by Mr. and Mrs. Sol Mayer in the spring of 1945. This site has a lot of historic information.
ETAC - George W Pirtle Scout Reservation
George W Pirtle Scout Reservation has over 600 acres of Southern Red, Post, Water, & White oaks. Facilities inlcude an Explorer Base, the Lester Carr Lodge training Center & COPE. The F.M. Arnold Family Camp provides sites for tents with electricity.
GCC - Camp Huisache
At the center of Camp Huisache is the beautiful Lamar Bruni-Vergara Youth Center. The youth center includes the districts offices, large and small meeting/training rooms, medical facilities, kitchen, lavatories, and camp caretaker quarters.
GCC - Camp Karankawa (in Mathis TX)
From Corpus Christi travel north on Interstate 37 to Mathis, Texas. Camp K has 117 acres is located three miles southwest of Mathis on Lake Corpus Christi. The camp has a pool, 17 campsites. NOTE: Texas has TWO camps with the same name.
GCC - Mauritz Scout Reservation
Located in Ganado TX, the Gulf Coast Council owns and operates Mauritz Scout Reservation for the year round use of its Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Exploring membership.
GSC - Camp Don Harrington
This 800 + acre property is located in the west section of the Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle near Canyon TX, the camp has Long-term, Short-term camping, weekend camping. 12 campsites. Handicapped sites. Also has a Cub World.
GSC - Camp M. K. Brown
Located in Mobeetie TX, this is a Short-term camping, weekend camping. 15 campsites. Handicapped sites.
LC - Aquatics School
The Longhorn Council Aquatic School is a unique program for Scouts 13 to 17 years old designed to develop teamwork and leadership, build character and confidence. It is a program of the Sid Richardson Scout Ranch.
LC - Brazos River Canoe Trip - 50-Miler
Based out of Worth Scout Ranch, Summer camp on the river! The Brazos River Canoe Trip (BRCT) is High Adventure at the Big Adventure—a Worth Ranch tradition! Test your canoeing, camping, and fishing skills on this fun-filled weeklong 50-miler adventure.
LC - Camp Jim Braley
This was one of ther Heart O' Texas Council camps taken over by Longhorn Council. The Longhorn web site does not list the camp so scouters need to contact the council to see if the camp is still available. Located in Hallsburg TX on Tradinghouse Creek.
LC - Camp Leroy Shuman
The Longhorn web site does not list the camp so Scouters need to contact the council to see if the camp is still available. A small camp with only 20 acres, however its location make it a delightful camping facility. Located on Lake Worth.
LC - Camp Tahyaya
Camp Tahuaya is located on the Lampass River, in Bell County TX & four miles south of Belton off I-35. The 147 acres that compose Camp Tahuaya was a part of the now defunct Heart O'Texas Council & is now operated by the Longhorn Council.
LC - Chisholm Trail Adventure Base
Units get a pontoon boat for a week. Program includes battle reenactments at US Cavalry and Texas Ranger outposts, climbing, biking, Comanche Village, wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, sailing, windsurfing, waterpark/Blob. A new Longhorn Council facility.
LC - Sid Richardson Scout Ranch
Longhorn Council premier camp offers: Bronco Patrol for new Scouts, Merit Badge programs for all including Water Skiing, Sailing, & Motorboating. Horsemanship, Canoe the lake, or rent a pontoon boat & fish. Dedicated camp web site.
LC - Sid Richardson Scout Ranch
Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2) is 3,050 acres of scenic cliffs, rugged shorelines, and open prairie forests on Lake Bridgeport just west of Decatur. It’s a Texas-size camp with Texas-sized adventure program. From Council Web Site.
LC - Steele Island Aquatics Base
Spend your week at camp on the Water! It’s fun in the sun at the Steele Island Aquatics Base, a week-long advanced aquatics program for older Scouts. We’re located at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2) on beautiful Lake Bridgeport.
LC - Tahuaya Canoe Adventure
Spend your week at camp on Lake Stillhouse! This Pack and Paddle program is based at Camp Tahuaya and features canoe camping for patrols of older Scouts (age 14 and up) and adults. You’ll spend five days and four nights on the water.

SHAC - Sam Houston Area Council Camps
The Houston Texas based council operates a number of excellent camps that are not yet on the web. Limited information is available on this site for: Grand Lakes Scout Res. & Camp Strake, Horseshoe Bend, Cockrell River, Camp Hamman, & El Rancho Cima Base.
SHAC - Bovay Scout Ranch
This 1,415 acre property is located 3 miles south of Navasota on Highway 6 in the Rolling Hills of Texas. Recently purchased by the Council with a generous gift from Harry and Sue Bovay, this new property will be developed to meet future needs.
SHAC - Camp Brosig
This 92 acre property is located 4 miles north of Sealy. It is primarily used by units on weekends and by districts for Camporees, Cuborees and Cub Scout outings. Camp Brosig is located in Austin, County.
SHAC - Camp Strake / Grand Lake
From the council website, This 2,288 acre property is located 2 miles south of Conroe on Interstate 45 in the Texas Piney Woods. Grand Lake has 21 troop sites and operates 8 weekly sessions during the summer.
SHAC - Camp Strake / Grand Lake
Camp Strake has a full conference center, an expansive Boy Scout Camp and Cub World. Nestled in tall timbers, Cub World is a young boy's adventure dream come true. This is from a Council District web site.
SHAC - El Rancho Cima
This 2,680 acre property is located in the Texas Hill Country just twelve miles from Wimberley on the Blanco River. Two major camps are in operation: Cockrell River Camp and Horseshoe Bend Camp.
SHAC - Hamman Scout Camp
Camp Hamman is approximately 75 miles northwest of San Antonio, near the town of Bandera. This historic area is on the edge of the Texas Hill Country and offers a variety of opportunities for units. No facilities, very primitive.
SHAC - Horseshoe Bend Camp
Horseshoe Bend Camp has 12 troop sites. Each summer Horseshoe Bend Camp operates 6 weekly sessions.
SPC - C. W. Post Memorial Scout Camp
This is the closest and most often used camp for South Plains Scouts. The tradition and history of the old West can come to life at Camp Post, located on the old Curry Comb Ranch. Camp Post is a well developed camp, with water in all campsites.
TRC - Camp Bill Stark
This scout camp property has been sold by the Three Rivers Council. For additional details see the link to the Dallas Morning News article at the bottom of this page. Here isa link with some information about the camp which was near Call TX.
TRC - Camp Urland
This scout camp which is located two miles south of Woodville sits on the edge of the Big Thicket Biological Area. The 716 acre Scout camp is covered with pine and hardwood forests, rolling hills and has two creeks and a small 8 acre lake.
TTC - Camp Billy Gibbons
Camp Billy Gibbons is located on Brady Creek 13 miles south of Richland Springs, TX and is one of the older camps in this area. The camp belongs to the Texas Trails Council. The camp is operated year-round.
TTC - Camp Tonkawa
Camp Tonkawa is nestled under huge Oak trees in southern Taylor County, Texas. Located about 12 miles south-southwest of Abilene and about 4 miles west of Buffalo Gap. The Texas Trails Council operated camp now serves primarily as the Cub Scout camp.
TTC - Camp Billy Gibbons
The camp is considered the last of the summer wilderness camps in this area. One must drive down a thirteen mile gravel road, over fourteen cattle guards, in order to get to the camp. This site mainly gives some of the history of this facility.
YC - Elephant Butte Aquatics Camp
