WI-Black River

WI-Bois Brulle River
This is one of Wisconsin's most charming and popular streams.
WI-Eau Claire
Not to be confused with another Eau Claire river in far northern Wisconsin, this river flows into the Wisconsin River just north of Stevens Point. It's a small stream meandering through woods and farmland.
WI-Flambeau River
The Flambeau River and Flowage provide a wide variety of watersports.
WI-Jump River
With an intriguing name like the Jump, you'd expect a lot from a river, and you won't be disappointed with this one.
WI-Little Wolf
The Little Wolf is navigable from Northland all the way to it's junction with the Wolf downstream from New London. The upper reaches, from Northland down to Big Falls, are trout water. Some stretches are rocky, while others have numerous downed trees.
WI-Namekagon River
highlight of this trip was how close the numerous bald eagles we sighted allowed us to come to them. They allowed us to float by them as the rested on treetops by the river without flying off, which is usually the case.
WI-Pecatonica River
Southern Wisconsin has rivers, too, and the Pecatonica is a shining example of these slow meandering streams. The Pecatonica has several branches.
WI-Pine River
This Pine River is the one that flows southeast into the Menominee River in Northern Wisconsin.
WI-Plover river
paddling just a short section of this river revealed a variety of delights. There are no rapids but you may have to maneuver around downed trees.
WI-Saint Croix river
From its source near Solon Springs to its outlet at the Missisippi, the Saint Croix river is canoeing at its finest.
WI-The Chippewa River
The river from Moose Lake down to the enormous Chippewa Flowage gets much bigger and has some tricky rapids.
WI-The Embarrass River
Embarrass is French for "logjam", and on some of the many branches of this river, you will no doubt encounter some. This river system allows for just about every type of river experience at some point.
WI-The Kickapoo
The Kickapoo slides lazily through the center of Wisconsin's Driftless Area, the part of Wisconsin that was not scraped flat by the last Pleistocene glaciation. It is a a small, twisting stream with few obstacles except downed trees and a few dams to port
WI-The Mecan
The Mecan is a truly delightful small river upstream from Highway 22. It turns and twists continually and is therefore excellent for sneaking up on Great Blue Herons, ducks, and other wildlife.
WI-The Peshtigo River
The rocks in the Peshtigo were hard to see, however, because of the tannic acid which colors the water and the dark color of the granite rocks in the stream bed.
WI-The Red River
This little river has rock gardens, ledges, two portages, flat water, and good fishing...all in a one day's paddle.
WI-The Thornapple river
The Thornapple river is a small tributary of the Chippewa in Northern Wisconsin.
WI-The Wolf River
This river is well renowned for its white water, from the thunderous Big Smoky Falls to Slough Gundy and the Dells of the Wolf.
WI-Upper Wisconsin River
The very upper part of the Wisconsin has some remote and enjoyable paddling pleasures
