Players will have the ability to affect the map in real time by use of machinery (like cranes) or automated doors
A new movie of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown is now available, featuring two minutes of multiplayer footage. In the works at Red Storm Entertainment, the fourth installment of the popular series will offer several multiplayer modes. In Rivalry Mode for the PlayStation 2, Team Rainbow battles it out against the Mercenary team in head-to-head competition. The team to complete the most objectives before time runs out wins the match. Objectives include rescuing or capturing hostages, disarming or detonating bombs, hacking into computers or securing them to protect valuable information. The Persistent Elite Creation Mode (P.E.C.) mode for Xbox Live allows players to create and shape their own persistent characters. Each character is unique with definite strengths and weaknesses. With four different classes to choose from, skills are level based so the higher the level of the character, the more skills that player will gain access to, which are all combat related. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown will ship worldwide in September 2005, for PS2, Xbox and GC - the PC version is scheduled for an early 2006 release.
