AL - Troop 82 Greater Alabama Council Boy Scout Troop 82 began as a contingent Troop from the Tennessee Valley Council, Alabama to the 1985 National Scout Jamboree. During 1985, 36 Scouts from various Troops in the Council formed this unit and began preparing for the Jamboree.

CO - Troop 97 Longs Peak Council Members of the few troops that survive longer than 25 years get to wear a special year "bar" above the troop number on their uniform. Troop 97 began in 1952, failed in 1956, then started again in 1959, so our "bar" now shows 45 years.

DE - Troop 19 Del-Mar-Va Council It may surprise many to learn that Troop 19 was not the first Boy Scout troop sponsored by Silverbrook United Methodist Church. In 1915 Troop 47 was organized at Silverbrook, with Wilmer F. Whitescarver as Scoutmaster.
DE - Troop 70 Del-Mar-Va Council Chartered in November, 1972, Boy Scout Troop #70 originally consisted of eight boys and two adult leaders. One of those adults was R.W. Grafton, the troop's first Scoutmaster. The troop is known as the Peacemakers.

LA - Post 474 Kossa Indian Dancer Hist. In 1969, the group that is now known as Kossa Indian Dancers began as West-Cal Chapter of the Order of the Arrow Dance Team. Over the next few years, the team grew, produced 27 state champion dance teams, two bi-state champion dance teams.
MN - Troop 72 Indianhead Council On the evening of April 23, 1991, Scoutmaster David Hart, two other adults, several fifth-grade boys, and their parents met to organize a Boy Scout troop. At the end of that meeting, six of those boys became the first members of Troop 72.
NY - Troop 3 History Otetiana Council Lincoln Troop 3, was formed in November 1917, under the sponsorship of Temple Beth El, which was then located at the corner of Park Avenue and Meigs Street in Rochester, NY. The name "Lincoln" dates back to when troops were not assigned numbers but names
NY - Troop 73 Twin Rivers Council This troop from Voorheesville NY traces its history back to 1920. They have recorded their various sponsors over the years as well as all of their Scoutmasters and a brief history.
OK - Troop 18 Will Rogers Council This troop has celebrated their 75th anniversary & was the first troop chartered in this council.
OK - Troop 850 Last Frontier Council 75 year history of Scouting in Guthrie, OK, Chartered by the Guthrie First United Methodist Church.
OR - Troop 174 Cascade Pacific Council Troop 174 has a rich history, which spans over 50 years. The Troutdale City Council, about 1947, formed the troop to give the boys something to do in order to stay out of trouble.
OR - Troop 2 Cascade Pacific Council Troop 20 has a very interesting history. If it wasn't for other generous people, we probably wouldn't be where we are today. Troop 20 was founded and the original charter took place in August of 1939, 26 years after Scouting made its debut in 1913.
OR - Troop 2's Camp Cone This was a camp & lodge owned by this troop which was destroyed after falling into years of disuse. The troop interviewed old scouts to find out how the building was once used.
PA - Bronxville Scout Cabin History The cabin where John F. Kennedy was a scout.
PA - Troop 1 Cradle of Liberty Council Going back to 1917 this is one exceptional Troop, they even have their own, Troop Owned Boy Scout Camp near the Appalachian Trail! One of the oldest troops in this council.
PA - Troop 152 Cradle of Liberty Co. Taken from, "The First 100 Years," compiled by the Saint Francis de Sales Centennial History Committee, and edited by Frances Curran, 1989. The Scouting Program gradually ended for lack of adult leadership. The program restarted in 1999.
