In order to submit digitized files of a title's cover art, save the scanned image according to the following specifications:

• TIFF or JPEG format
• sRGB
• 500 pixels on the longest side

To digitize cover art, follow these guidelines as your scanning software prompts you for various types of information:

• Color or bit depth: Select "millions of colors," "RGB," or "24-bit color," depending on the term your software uses (don't use any sharpening or blur settings).
• Image size: Set the number of pixels to 500 high (7 inches high at 72 dots per inch), or as close to that as you can. Standard scanning software uses a slide bar for scaling, with the number of pixels (wide and high) displayed as you slide along the bar.
• Image format: Save the file as "TIFF" or "TIF" or as "JPEG" or "JPG."

To name your image, use the title's ISBN followed by the format in which it was scanned and saved (for example, "0443567896.tif" or "5454533237.jpg").
