New dangers after Katrina

Another part of Hurricane Katrina's legacy will be the predicted public health crisis. In areas hit, people have found that surviving the hurricane was only part of the battle. Now they must struggle with contaminated water, spoiled food, carbon monoxide poisoning, hazardous waste and days in the boiling heat.
