Welcome to the Cambridge Go Society

The Cambridge Go Society exists to encourage people to play the board game go in Cambridge, both in the University and otherwise. It is affiliated to the British Go Association and it is registered with the Societies Syndicate of Cambridge University.

CUGOS has a membership of around 80 active members of all skills levels, from beginners to some of the strongest players in the country. The society meets regularly inside and outside term and is happy to welcome new players of any strength at any meeting.

For further details about the club and its meetings, please follow one of the following links to further information.

We would also be happy to answer any questions or queries about the club via email.

Michaelmas Term

Meetings: Monday night, Clare Buttery, from 8 pm

Regular CUCAS meetings begin from the 17 October in the new, but familiar, location of the Clare Buttery.
To reach the buttery, enter Clare Old Court (off Trinity Lane) and turn right at the centre of the quad, entering the Hall corridor. Ignore the Halls to left and right and instead go straightahead and down the stone staircase. The staircase opens out to the buttery. There is a Clare College Map with the Hall marked.
Please see the meetings page for further details.

CUGOS Library

The CUGOS Library is fully up and running under new librarian Will Brooks. Please email him (thewilge at gmail dot com) if you wish to borrow a book and he will bring it to the next meeting. Some new books have also been added to the library.
