On the week of a country theme on 'American Idol,' the boot went to little Ramiele Malubay Wednesday night.
Malubay -- who was born in Saudi Arabia, spent her early years in the Philippines and now lives near Miami where she last worked as a hostess at a sushi restaurant -- went off with tears but no last words.
She reprised her song of the week, 'Do I Ever Cross Your Mind,' panned by Simon Cowell as forgettable at best.
With that, the field went to eight contestants heading into next week's safe round of 'Idol Gives Back' with multiple artists. Read more
