Timers

All games at CXQ are timed, and when your time runs out, you lose.

Each player has 3 timers. The first timer is for the game time, the total amount of time remaining for the game. The second timer is for the move time, the time remaining for your current move. When the move time reaches 0, you lose. The third timer is for free time, the time available to you each move when the game time reaches 0 or below. When the free time reaches 0, you lose.

You can also see the timers of your opponents, though keep in mind that these timers are no longer accurate when network lags. What you see on your screen may not be what is actually shown on your opponent screen. The timers lag behind for a few seconds in most cases, though the lags could be up to a few minutes.

You can give your opponent more time if you wish. Click on the "Options" button and look for the "Add Times" option. On certain rooms, you could also set the time limits there.
