Popular German chess software is now widely available in the United States and for a
competitive price thanks to Viva Media the U.S distributor. The program can now be
easily purchased from amazon.com, and I would not be surprised to see it show up at
your local video game retailer, such as Best Buy. This move will eventually bring
more head-to-head competition to the chess marketplace. In particular between Fritz
and the Chessmaster series, which can only end up being positive for the chess
software user, as each program attempts to offer better features or lower costs.
