Konami Digital Entertainment - America announced that Suikoden Tactics, a unique spin-off from Konami's popular role-playing series, is now available in stores for PS2 and carries an SRP of $39.99. Acting as a companion title to last year's Suikoden IV, Suikoden Tactics is set before, during and after the events of that game. It stars a new hero, Kyril, as he initially flees from hideous creatures overrunning the Island Nations, before forming a band of heroes to help repel the invaders. Kyril must also learn about the mysterious Rune Cannons, weapons that, perhaps, could be used against the monstrous beasts.

Codemasters today announced that Operation Flashpoint: Elite, the Xbox game developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio, has shipped to the stores and carries a suggested retail price of $39.99. Operation Flashpoint: Elite transports players to 1985, in the midst of the Cold War, where Gorbachev has just been elected to power. It is up to the player to dictate how the U.S. forces will tackle the Soviet faction. The game offers two military campaigns plus 15 solo missions over 4 sprawling 100+ km2 battle zones. SpongeBob Squarepants The Yellow Avenger has shipped exclusively for Nintendo DS, THQ announced. This time, the Dirty Bubble has kidnapped SpongeBob's favourite superheroes, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Electronic Arts Inc also announced that The Lord of the Rings: Tactics, the first handheld, tactical role-playing game (RPG) to be set in Middle-earth, has shipped exclusively for PSP. The game features hundreds of in-depth skill options and an item-based battle system, a simultaneous turn-based encounter system for multiplayer. It also offers battle arenas that re-create locations from all three The Lord of the Rings films as well as J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary books, an exclusive Wi-Fi multiplayer mode, and more.

Electronic Arts announced that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the game developed by EA's UK studio, is now available for PC, PS2, Xbox, GC, GBA and DS (PSP version will be available later). Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will offer co-operative play with up to two players, and an all-new spell-casting system, as well as playable characters from the movie (Harry, Ron, and Hermione). Atari today announced that The Matrix: Path Of Neo, a game based on the motion picture trilogy The Matrix from Warner Bros. Pictures, is now available across the US for PS2, PC and Xbox - the UK launch date is set for November 18th. The Matrix: Path Of Neo will allow gamers to play as the central character "Neo," and relive the most important and memorable scenes from the complete film trilogy. The likenesses of all of the films' key actors including Keanu Reeves (Neo), Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus), Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) and Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) are featured in the game, which also incorporates footage from The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions as well as The Animatrix. Activision also announced that GUN, the game developed by Neversoft, is now available for PS2, GC, Xbox and PC - the Xbox 360 version will ship in the week of November 15. Activision today announced that The Movies, the sim-tycoon title developed by Lionhead Studios, has shipped tot the stores across the United States. The Movies is a life simulation game that lets players build and control their own Hollywood motion picture studio. Players create unique mini-trailer-style movies choosing everything from script selection and the hiring of cast and crew, to film production and premieres. Gamers build their entertainment empire by making hit movies, researching and introducing the newest cinematographic technologies and nurturing the biggest stars. Atari has issued a patch for Dragonshard, bringing to v1.1.24 the European versions of this real-time strategy game developed by Liquid Entertainment and based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe created by Wizards of the Coast Thanks: 3DGamers.
