This page is sort of a catch-all, containing general card game info, as well as links
for games that perhaps do not yet have enough resources to warrant a full page of their
own. If you're looking for information about a card game not listed on this site, it can
most likely be found on John McLeod's comprehensive "Card Games" site. Check out the
Alphabetical Index of Card Games for
rules and links for all sorts of familiar and obscure card games, or

Sheepshead Page
The definitive Sheepshead page, with rules, history, tips, and links.
The Sheepshead Home Page
Sheepshead is a card game of German origin (called Schafskopf or Schafkopf). Simply stated,
each player is dealt cards. A trick is one round of cards...where each player lays a card on
the table. The player who lays the most powerful card in the round, wins all the cards in
that trick. There are points assigned to cards so when you win a trick, you also win the
points associated with those cards. When all the tricks have been played, the person with the
most points wins the game. Rules, strategy tips, and links.
