4D Sports - Stunt Driving (c) Mindscape

Genre: Racing
Year: 1990
Size: 1.07 mb

This game which most refer to as Stunts is probably the racing game
I've found most entertaining, and also the racing game I've unzipped
and played the most times.
At the main menu you can choose what track you want to play,
what person you'd like to play against (or against the clock),
what car you want to use, and options. The most interesting part
of the game is that with it's great map editor you can easily make
the most insane tracks you could imagine. You can for instance put
loops, big/small jumps and other somewhat strange things where the
terminology is above my knowledge ;-)
The sounds are fairly nice I suppose, you have the regular engine sounds, crash sounds and various menu related sounds. Good quality to be that old.

Handling the cars is no problem at all, you feel how slippery it is when driving on ice/dirt, and you can easily spin around if you make to hard turns.

Those who require awesome in-game music will be disappointed. In the game you only hear your car, and the opponents (hopefully) behind you. But, at the main menu you have the theme music, which in my opinion is decent enough.

For those of you who get this game, a tip;
On the level editor try making a big jump almost at the end of the field, and make the end of the jump right at the start, like /. Then make a windmill a little ahead of it, so you'll jump like into it.
You will need to have a long runway, try from the beginning of the field.

Why the heck should I make this you're probably wondering; well, the thing is that when you jump onto the windmill you will be flying enormeously high into the sky, and this is just one of the ways you can do this. But remember to use the fastest car, as it's easiest to exploit the bug with.
