Looking forward to Bali! The Official Website has been re-launched ready for the 2001 World Championships in October. The site has lots of information on everything you need to know about Bali, including where to stay, go and eat, as well as all the latest information on The Championships.

Bridge will be in Salt Lake City! A tournament will be held just before the start of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City as an attraction sport it was confirmed today. For more details, click here

Register Now for the e-bridge Internet Pairs World Championship - supported by the World Bridge Federation, the European Bridge League and the ACBL this should be an excellent event!

The Spring North American Bridge Championships in Kansas City, start on 15 March. All the latest news, daily bulletins and results can be found on the Official Site.

The First African Zonal Championships were held during February in Egypt, Mark Horton was there editing the Daily Bulletins and we have some of the articles available for you to read online

The World Bridge Championships 2001, are being held in Bali in October. The Championships will be held at the Bali International Convention Centre, Nusa Dua located on the southern edge of Bali Island. Information and Registration Dates.

Bridge is a true sport ...
On 28th October 2000 in Monaco, the World Bridge Federation was admitted as a member of the AGFIS (General Association of International Sports Federations - Olympic and non-Olympic) at the General Assembly of this Association
This means that, at the present time (November 2000) the WBf belongs to the IOC as an International Sports Federation, as well as to ARISF and GAISF, the three International Sports Associations

The English Open Trials - unexpected results. Gossip says that John Collings will not be able to play in the semi-finals as he is getting married that weekend!

The Bridge Great Britain October Pairs, scored across the net, has now been finalised. Congratulations to L R Hoy and J Whitaker from Poulton-le-Fylde who won with an incredible 77.25% on the Wednesday and to Lett Wadad and Dr Michael Harris from Paphos in Cyprus who got 72.45% and won the Thursday event.
