Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. sent over a press release announcing MLB ’06: The Show, the next chapter in the series due to ship in Spring 2006, for PS2 and PSP. The all-new Rivalry Mode allows players to set up and maintain multi-game rivalries, while tracking stats for the life of the rivalry. Moreover, the innovative King of the Diamond Mode brings players a classic playground duel where a pitcher and batter from opposing teams square off in a head-to-head mini game that showcases the intensity of the duel. OnNet Co., Ltd. announced that a massive update of Shot-Online is now available since the game's launch in North America (November 29th). One of the major new additions to Shot-Online is the addition of a formidable and lengthy course for Semi-Pro and Pro players, the “Abel Plena” course, set in open grassland with beautiful backdrops. Also new for Semi-Pro and Pro players is a new form of game play, the “Scratch” game, where players can bet in-game currency on the outcome of a stroke. THQ Wireless Inc. announced a publishing agreement with FISHLABS by which THQ Wireless will add several 3D multiplayer games to their existing portfolio of branded mobile entertainment. Hammer & Sickle Weapons Video Released

CDV Software today released a new video from Hammer & Sickle, showcasing some of the knives, pistols, rifles and machine guns available in this new tactical role playing game set in the Silent Storm universe. The game features a non-linear story where you are a Soviet undercover agent who finds himself caught in the middle of an escalating confrontation between the intelligence services of the world's superpowers. The game offers a whole single world in which you can move back and forth though all zones freely - events taking place in one zone can affect developments in others. To reach your goals, you must buy weapons, hire soldiers, get information, even bribe the local criminal syndicate or police. Developed by Nival Interactive, Hammer & Sickle will be availabe in North America on December 5th, and in the UK on February 24th 2006.

Crave Entertainment today released a huge batch of screenshots from Pinball Hall of Fame for the PSP. The game, already available for Xbox, GC and PS2, features a compilation of 11 of Gottlieb's greatest tables recreated in a 3D environment, historical art and fun facts from the golden age of the game, and two player "game sharing" via wireless connection with one disc.

     9. Cyber Shack, CBN Media’s gaming entertainment brand, recently held it’s first annual gaming event Game Sphere last week. A New Life for Old Games

The Get-Well Gamers Foundation was founded in 2001 with the goal of bringing video game systems and games to children's hospitals. The foundation, now in its fourth year, accepts donations of used games, game systems and accessories then divvies them up across their growing network of children’s hospitals. As stated on their website, they will even accept items that are inoperable since they can frequently repair them up or patch together a working system together from salvaged parts.

Matrix Games today announced that Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga has been approved for manufacturing and will be available next week at the Matrix Games Online Store, with a boxed version to follow shortly thereafter. Selected as a finalist in the 2005 Independent Games Festival Competition, Star Chamber is both an online Collectibe Card game and a turn-based strategy game set in a not-so-distant future where members of the Galactic Republic struggle for power. The Harbinger Saga will have enhanced graphics and an improved UI, new maps, new cards, four player games, a tournament drafting system, and many minor adjustments to improve the game. 100 Million PS2 Units Shipped Worldwide

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) announced today that the cumulative production shipment of its PS2 console had reached 100 million units worldwide, as of November 29th, 2005. On the software side, there are 14,000 PlayStation and PlayStation 2 titles playable, of which 6,200 titles are for PlayStation 2 alone. Check full article for details.
