Description:
Benchmark measures your Palm Powered handheld's speed and bus bandwidth utilization, and shows how your device measures up relative to other models -- and it does so quite accurately.
Benchmark works on all Palm OS connected organizers. It was developed entirely on-board a Palm handheld using the Quartus Forth compiler.
If you'd like to be able to write apps right on your Palm device, have a look at Quartus Forth!

Tungsten C scored 547%, BUT ...
- Loaded into main memory and ran several times with no problem.
- Moved it to SD card, ran fine but when Home button pressed to return to main screen, T|C locked up with odd streaked color display. Soft reset freed it up.
- Moved it back to main memory and similar thing happened, but this time with a clear screen occupied with a "Reset" button that did nothing. Needed soft reset again.
Bottom line: if you run it on a T|C, do it only in main memory. I ultimately removed it from the T|C.

Love the updated version, it has the IIIc (my Palm) on it specifically. This is an excellent tool to test speedup programs. You have to try this with Cruise Control (freeware from BackupBuddy), which gives me excellent speed improvement without overclocking my processor. Result: no degraded battery life, no excessive heat, no hang-ups. Benchmark and Cruise Control compliment each other wonderfully. Alan.
