Kids Go Go Go! is great!   - Version: 8.9, 3/5/2005 12:27PM PST

justbob_dotmac: Kids Go Go Go! blocks kids sites for their accounts; open internet for mine.

I see a lot of comments about the documentation. This program is made in Japan. They have apparently used a translator program to create the english User Guides. They are making a nice program available to us; I hope we do not fault them too much for doing so.

Here's how to make it work: Install and Launch Kids Go Go Go! Choose a Filtering option and your're done. Just Hide the App. Next Log In Kids Go Go Go! will work in the background. If you have a kids log in in addition to yours, turn Off Filtering in your account. Deselect Disallow user's changes to settings. Now, Fast User Switch to your kid's account. Launch Kids Go Go Go! Choose the filtering option. Kids Sites Only searches a database. Harmful Sites searches the site to determine if it should be blocked. Hide Kids Go Go Go! Switch back to your account and select Disallow user's changes to settings. Hide Kids Go Go Go! (You may have to click OK...I forget which is correct right now.) When you log out and back in Kids Go Go Go! will be functioning in the background.

    Teachers liked results   - Version: 8.7, 12/3/2004 07:40AM PST

macosaurus: Installed in Juvenile Delinquent type school. When carefully installed and configured to use word list filter and custumized website blocking (along with company provided db) teachers have been much more willing to allow students to use the web and report far less trouble.

Won't uninstall; no help at all from developer   - Version: 8.6.3, 9/7/2004 06:39PM PST

tgilson_dotmac: I tried KidsGoGoGo a year or more ago, and it didn't meet my needs. Recently I thought I'd try it again, so I downloaded it. I got a message immediately that said my trial period had expired. Apparently the prior uninstall had not worked completely. So I decided to uninstall it again using the supplied uninstaller, and it just crashes every time. It's running in the background; it puts an unremovable message on my desktop. I contacted the developer about this, and got no response. On his website it says I need to be a registered user for him to pay attention to my message. I'm not paying for that!
