I applied the update to Virex 7.2.1 on my 10.4.2 system and all appeared well. When the system rebooted it just sat there with the the animated circle turning. Nothing I did could get the system to start including removing all virex files while booting from another drive. Had to do an archive and install to get my system back. I mainly use a virus program to scan documents going to the PC world so this really hurt.

Why not use ClamXav? It's just as effective and it's free!

..To be working fine for me - 10.4.2, 2.0 Ghz/1 Gb RAM/250 Gb HD/128 Mb graphics/17" G5 iMac.


Just re-installed Virex 7.2.1 from a CD archive, downloaded the latest Virex definitions..
..And nothing broken, as far as I can tell.
