IPod 40Gb, 4 gen, the clickwheel went crazy after installing the update. Problem is going back to factory settings does not
solve the issue. Do not recommend installing.

Apple iPod Updater Troubleshooting ReportThis updater has killed my iPod - Version: 4.5, 9/25/2005 06:45AM PST

This updater has killed my iPod, after "updating" it no longer mounts on my desktop, plays any music, and resetting takes over 30 mins to reboot. I have tried everything from putting my iPod into disc mode, resetting, restoring, nothing works. I have done its self diagnositics and all appears to be fine and passed, even the disc scan shows no probs, and yet it is now dead thanks to this updater. Absolutely no help from Apple ( but thats to be expected!!! )

...now you actually DO go back to the previous song when you hit the "back" button. that bug was driving my clients insane!
