NovaMind is a great way to organize your thoughts, remember information, generate ideas, solve problems, and focus on the main issues in a fun and creative way using Mind Mapping techniques.

What's new in this version:

  • Corrections to the Inspector names for the French translation, and a few other wording changes in French
  • Finished the Spanish translation
  • Corrected a problem with the export to Keynote where in some cases it would not export
  • Fixed a problem where if you attached an image graphic using the inspector, the image would not be saved
  • Fixed a problem where adding a sibling branch in the outline view would sometimes crash the program
  • Fixed a problem entering French text into the screenwriter window (this may well have affected other languages too)
  • Fixed a problem where the outline view would not display the Mind Map when it was displayed after being closed.
  • Fixed a problem with moving branches up and down in the outline view
  • Fixed a problem where if you told NovaMind to never load the iPhoto images, you could not turn it back on effectively in the preferences
  • Fixed a problem where grouping branches in the outline view often caused a crash
  • Fixed a problem where new branches would not have their line widths set to the value set in Preferences
  • Fixed a problem where moving a branch up or down in the outline view would not reflect the change in the Mind Map
  • Fixed a problem where export to OPML would crash NovaMind

Just wanted to add that I'm already productive w/ 3.0.2, and it simply blows away any MindMapping application I've seen over the last 10 yrs.

There are quite some bugs, still, and you really have to work your way around them.
BUT: I like their attitude re their development cycle. They're perfectly open about where they are, and what you can expect. Great.

As per my previous post, I am a fan of this software - now they have fixed one of the minor things that was bugging me (a small issue with oval branches), so it's even better than before. I did have cause to ask them a question a couple of days ago, and the response was almost immediate, and very clear. Top marks for support.

I recently went on an Anthony Robbins course (Date with destiny), and used it to plan my values, power virtues ant primary question. It is a great way of brainstorming new ideas, and just being able to drag them into the right order. I used the excellent graphics capabilities to add visual appeal, and printed it out on A3 paper - I now have it on my wall beside my computer as a constant reminder of why I'm here.
