Insane... - Version: 6.02, 4/1/2004 01:31PM PST
tyrayner (Rayner Software)
This program appears to be the work of a madman. I cannot imagine actually using something like this. Has useful dialogs like this one:
Using 'nohup', scheduler Enghine will continue running after logout. Default launch is without 'nohup'. IMPORTANT: If launching Engine from commandline/script, start dir should be software install folder, i.e. cd to it first IMPORTANT: If launching Engine from commandline/script, SHUTDOWN the Engine from Admin first
Recommended 'nohup' launch code for Engine:
nohup /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.3.1/Home/bin/java -Xdock:name=AbleFtp_Engine -Xdock:icon=images/ableftp.icns -cp .:inputs:activation.jar:jclasses.jar:mail.jar:NetComponents.jar JSEngine
Or this one, from the Help file:
Using variables in the text fields The variable must be formatted as follow: $%VariableFormat%$
For System variables: $%VariableName::VariableOptions%$ Variable_Options may only be required by some Variables. examples: $%DATE::hh:mm;yyyy%$ or $%USERNAME%$
This is the type of user friednly, intuitive design that we as Mac users are so accustomed to! Seriously, using FTP from the command line is a hundred times simpler than this program. Download for purposes of amusement only, or perhaps as a journey into the mind of an insane developer.

This is one of the few, the proud, the crappy... It received a perfect 11.0 (the very worst) rating at perversiontracker.com.
