Product Description:

Indigo is a home control server that integrates INSTEON and X10 hardware devices. Indigo was developed from the ground up to be a robust, Mac OS X native, home control server. With Indigo you can automate your lights, appliances, sprinkler system, and more! You can even control Indigo via email from your cell phone or the office. Now you can "warm up the hot tub" before you even leave the office!

Indigo has native support for the following INSTEON / X10 compatible devices:
  • PowerLinc V2, PowerLinc 1132U/CU, CM-11, and LynX-PLC interfaces
  • MR 26a RF receiver interface
  • W800RF32 RF receiver interface
  • INSTEON modules: SwitchLinc V2, LampLinc V2, ApplianceLinc V2, KeypadLinc V2, ControLinc V2
  • Smarthome X10 modules: SwitchLinc, LampLinc, ApplianceLinc
  • Leviton (extended dim) modules
  • Lightolier Compose switches (in "Compatible Mode" mode only)
  • Generic appliance/lamp modules
Other feature highlights:
  • Supports uploading of control logic and schedules to the PowerLinc Controller (1132CU), giving you basic home control even when your Mac is turned off
  • Integrated support with Salling Clicker and Ovolab Phlink -- remotely control Devices and execute Action Groups from a bluetooth-enabled mobile phone or over any remote telephone
  • Trigger actions by sending Indigo emails (build-in POP3 client)
  • Send emails for remote notification of triggers, such as motion detection or power failure (built-in SMTP client)
  • Remote control of iTunes using the X10 "Entertainment Anywhere" kit.
  • Unlimited action groups to define lighting scenes with unlimited action steps
  • Sunset and sunrise events for automated lighting
  • Native variable list to easily keep track of automation states, such as "atHome"
  • Extensive AppleScript dictionary, including object model and plug-in architecture
  • Threaded architecture minimizes CPU usage and prevents UI from becoming blocked (no busy cursor!), even when sending slow dim or brighten commands
  • ...and much, much more! See our website for all the details.

Product Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2.6 or higher; Tiger Compatible
  • INSTEON Interface (PowerLinc V2) or X10 Interface (either PowerLinc 1132U/CU (USB), Active Home CM15A (USB), PowerLinc 1132A (Serial), CM-11, or LynX-PLC)

Very easy to use, yet very powerful. Excellent, fast support by the developer. I don't know how he has time to respond in such detail so fast each time I have a question, but it sure has helped a newbie to home automation set up a rathe complex system very quickly. Great program, great developer. What more could you ask for in software. $90 is a lot for something that is included for Windows when you buy a controller, but he earned every penny from me. Bundle it with EvoCam with its Quicktime and unlimited camera support, and it outshines any Windows solution. Suggested next step, ability to send wireless commands from the CM15A.

Indigo Usage TipIndigo can be used with Airport Express! - Version: 1.5.0, 6/22/2004 10:56AM PST

Using the MR26a RF controller (or the WD8000) and the UR-81A remote from www.10.com you can control iTunes from the remote. So when you plug in your Airport Express and stream your music to a remote location, you can control it with your remote (Play, Pause, Back, Forward, Vol Up, Vol Dn). This works pretty good until Apple comes up with a different solution!

Indigo ReviewWonderful piece of Software - Version: 1.5.0, 6/2/2004 09:43AM PST

I had been previously using Thinking Home and I decided to change over to Indigo. This software ROCKS! Very easy to use, nice interface and (in my opinion) much easier to use/understand than Xtension. I am still waiting for my PowerLinc Controller to come in since I cannot program my CM11A controller anymore, so I have to leave my compuer on in the meantime, but this is no big deal. Would be kinda nice (and fun!) to have speeh recognition capabilities...

The email feature of being able to control your devices by email is pretty sweet!
