The description says no modem required. How can it possibly do stuff without a modem?

Does this application/hardware package support automatically recording as the phone anywhere in the house is answered and stops when you habg up the line.
I think this is called VOX feature.
I have 2 small VOX telephone recorders but they have problems if the conversation exceds the length od available fre tape. I end up with a lot of partial recordings. Unless I am sitting in the basement and have to say to the person, "can you just hols on a second" and I scramble to flip the tape and press record.
The website talks about how grand the product is, but they do not speak of the automatic record and automatic hang up -Stop record function
If this product does not do this, possibley because it is to complicated software /hardware wise and ther is some one more knowledgeable and experienced and knows of a Macintosh OSX package that does the VOX function, please post a message.
