Product Description:

Have you ever asked yourself: What version of the image are we looking at on this laserprint of my InDesign document? Label It solves this issue. It lets you automatically add a textbox with the name of the placed image. You can control where the box should be placed and you can even add the complet imagepath. The benefit of the plugin compared to AppleScripts is that when you move your images ... the label will follow your image. So you will not see any loose labels flowting around.

What's new in this version:

  • 3.3.2 - New features added: Center label text, add stroke and color to border, make inset spacing, define substring, add labels to same layer as images ... and much more (official release after 3.2.8)
  • <
  • 3.2.8 - Fix: Removed an unwanted border on Label text boxes
  • 3.2.7 - Added: Info on size of placed images AND option to place labels next to images
  • 3.2.6 - Fix: Solved an "undo request" that was generated too many times on large documents (documents with many images)
  • 3.2.5 - New feature: Show scaling % in labels
  • 3.2.4 - fixes a problem with negativ scaling (mirroring horisontal and vertical)
  • 3.2.3 - we fixed an issue with rotated boxes
  • 3.2.2 - makes sure that more events on moving images are catched and the label hence updated
  • 3.2.1 - an important bug-fix to 3.2.0!
  • 3.2.0 adds 2 more options to the label: Modification time for image and resulting dpi + original dpi
  • 3.1.6 Added Omit Masterpage items and a "Smart Disable" feature to allow for amendments of the labels
  • 3.1.5 Change of menu struckture
  • 3.1.4 bugfix of auto-update
  • 3.1.3 no extra features, but adds more debug options to help solve a problem found with Font Reserve
  • 3.1.2 fixes a bug with preview of rotated picture frames
  • 3.1.1 enables you to use transparent label-boxes.

Knowbody Label It CommentaryLabels are textboxes in a separate layer - Version: 1.0, 9/8/2003 01:58AM PST

Søren Rehné (Knowbody)
Hi!

Happy to see that you also was in the need of this plugin.
The labels are all added in a separate layer as plain text boxes.

In you "Pages" palette window you will also find the "Layers".
In here we add "Knowbody Label It" which is write protected initially.

Just unprotect the layer and you can select/ammend it.
It is 100% standard text boxes!

Kind Regards
Søren Rehné

Knowbody Label It ReviewNice! - Version: 1.0, 9/4/2003 07:23AM PST

Yes, this is one of the missing pieces I've been looking for, in trying to transition from QXP to InDesign. XPress had several XTensions that gave us the ability to label images on our prints when handing them to our separator. It's a BIG part of the workflow where I work, so not having this would change things a great deal. This fills the void, at least somewhat. What I'd like to know is- are the labels selectable? I can't seem to select them at all, so I wonder if they're not real ID elements. Maybe it's a limit of the demo version? Just wondering..
