Product Description:

Your Dashboard isn't complete without the VersionTracker Widget. Get the most out of Tiger (OS X 10.4) and track the latest widget and software updates from your desktop.

Filter the VersionTracker Widget by platform and category. Open additional instances to track multiple categories at once, for example the audio and widget categories.

VersionTracker Pro Subscribers- Login for more features including: spotlight search, the ability to choose from different content modules and more.

VersionTracker... the most comprehensive and current resource for software AND widget updates.

What's new in this version:

  • Displays the latest software updates, view 5 or 10 at a time
  • Each update shows the product name, short description and star rating
  • Specify the platform you want to track
  • Specify the category you want to track, including the “widget” category
  • Pro users- features include spotlight search

    • Mac OS X 10.4, Tiger Compatible

      If you're using Safari, when the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, when the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

    What I hate is that almost the whole Title Bar is a hot link to the website, so every time I try to move it I accidentally launch the web browser. Real estate is precious on the DashBoard, so I think the branding art can be substantially reduced. Using someone's Dashboard to toot your product is cruel, and a fairly useless form of promotion.
    Also - I'm a pro user, but I can't find any "pro features". What User Login? Shouldn't it show MY updates?

    I've tried every suggestion I've read here. I'm a paying VT Pro member. When I click to login, it takes me to the site, then when I show the dashboard, there's a box over the VT widget which says "Reload Preferences After Login". When I click, it just shows the same "back" side of the VT widget, including the "User Login" link. When I click done, I see the normal widget. HELP!!!

    I like this one a great deal. One small suggestion would be to add another drop down menu to separate the last five items of the "category" drop down menu and give them another menu of their own. Just another way of narrowng the search process. Thanks.
