Looks great, didn't explore it that much because what I saw on launch told me everything I needs ta know: Implementation detail takes second place to GUI glitter. I suspect headline glitches will be blamed on "non-standard RSS" feeds, ignoring the fact that other popular RSS readers render all existing (and mutually inconsistent) RSS, RDF, OPML and who knows what else, but ESPECIALLY html escape sequences in the "wrong" places, quietly, silently, perfectly. NewsMacPro seems to be a few clicks short of its final version number. I'll pass, for now.

I had used the old NewsMac version and had been fairly pleased. I am an occasional RSS user, but was able to sync using my pda with ease and liked the program. The guy went OVER THE TOP with this upgrade, it is absolutely wonderful. I am surprised there are not more downloads. I have yet to use the podcast feature so I cannot comment in that regards. I can even see this as a replacement of Safari. If I could import my bookmarks, which I don' know if I can do. I would have very little reason to open safari on its own. Anyway Highly recommended.

(I personally like it) it resides in the dock and awaits your
command. I hate opening a news reader (RSS or otherwise)
and having a window monopolize the screen. I prefer the
dockling approach and I'll bet most people do too. They
just don't give feedback. This may be a fine product, I've
not tried it but when will someone build abtter mousetrap.
I will use MacReporter until it happens that some clever
programmer stumbles onto what people really want; a low
profile news reader than stays out of the way until you want
it.
And by the way....most of the options I see floating about
that come with these newsreaders are ridiculous. Just give
us the freaking news....
