Product Description:
AlmostVPN is a ssh tunnel management application with a twist. This is what makes AlmstVPN different:- it packaged as Preference Panel, so you do not have to use yet another application to configure your tunnels
- it employs launchd to control tunnels, so you do not have to have yet another application running while tunneling
- it uses creative network configuration techniques to provide amlost VPN like access to remote services, so you can keep using real IP addresses and port numbers while accessing service on other side of your tunnels.
- it provides simple way to mount remote volumes via SSH tunnel
- and... it can import tunnel definitions from SSH Tunnel Manager and SSHKeychain

What is New
As a small consolation for mess with Panther support in 0.9.3, Menu Bar control was implemented. It provides the same level of functionality as AlmostVPN Widget on Tiger ( you can list/monitor/start/stop profiles created in AlmostVPN Preference Pane). Obviously, it could be used by Tiger folks too. Jut do not forget, that if you want to be able to start/stop profiles, you local account password should be stored in AlmostVPN keychain.

- Ticket #3. Request ssh key-based (passwordless) access (File Open dialog to select identity has been implemented)
- Ticket #60. login.keychain
- Ticket #62. Will not mount an SMB drive from my home network to my work network.
- Ticket #64. AlmostVPN should clean all temprorary files once profile gets stopped
- Ticket #66. AlmostVPN complains about failure to locate almostVPN@almostVPN password

To solve the problem, please delete all files like this /tmp/almostvpn*. Or you can reboot.

"Start" button often grayed out, but when it's on and I click it nothing happens, and it continues to say "almost VPN not running, never run."
Drop-down menu to right of start button lists SSHTM and SSHTM Auto twice; this is not explained in help files.
Documentation is terrible; far too complex and does not really explain basic account setup.
It would be good to create a troubleshooting file, and perhaps one explaining potential problems with imported SSHTunnel configurations.
