Dear Friends - On their way home from the KY TY, Alex Moiseyev and Michael Holmes stopped by my home for a nice 3 hour visit. They showed me several of their TY games. Both have lots of talent and it surely warms my heart to see two fine young men playing our game so well. An unofficial partial report of the 1997 KY Checker TY at Ken Bar Resort on KY Lake is: Masters Division - (1) Jim Morrison 18 points, (2&3) tie between Alex and Gene Lindsey 17 points, (4&5) tie between Michael and Don West 15 points. They were unsure of the rest, but they think Tim Reno had 14 points and John Byrns 13 points. There were 11 players in the Masters Division and 25 to 30 players in the TY. All I know at this time. Hopefully, Don Brattin, the TY referee, will send a complete TY report soon. Don Lafferty. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL !!
