5 Day Camps
Monday Friday, 8:30-4:00
 
INVITED:
Students in grades K-6 (7th next year OK), from beginners to advanced players. Students will be placed in groups based on age and level/experienced.
There is one requirement students have to be excited about playing chess!
 
1) August 8 12, 2005 Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary, 22130 NE 133rd, Woodinville, WA 98072  Three Groups: Beginners-Advanced
2) NEW! July 11-15 Bellevue  The Sunset Elementary 3810 132nd Ave. SE Bellevue, WA 98006 Three Groups: Beginners-Advanced
3) NEW!  August 15-19, Villa Academy, Seattle FEATURE: Your child doesn't know anything about chess but wants to learn? Complete Beginners group is added to this camp only. We will teach students basic chess moves and rules in five days! Special Schedule for this group.

CAMP HOURS
Arrival from 8:30 to9:00:00 a.m.  Pick-up 3:30 - 4:00 p.m.
 
REGISTRATION FEE: $240 ($220 second child) ($260 after 7/1)
Payment available on-line via secure connection below.
Space is limited to approx 50 students. Please apply early!
REFUND POLICY: Cancellation Fee $20 if cancelled more than three days in advanced. No refund  if canceled less than three days except for medical emergencies.
Chess sets will be provided; Students need to bring a sack lunch; Drinks and soup cups will be available during the breaks.
 
Camp Program
This camp is recommended for chess club players and all young players who like to play chess.
The emphasis will be on playing chess games throughout the day games and learning basic chess theory.
Students will learn playing games with different time controls, playing with clock, learning to record the games (for beginners groups),
Classes on Opening Theory;  Middlegame and Endgame studies; Solving Puzzles;
 
A great way to prepare for scholastic fall chess season!
 
DAILY SCHEDULE
 9:00  - 11:45 Classes: Opening;  Middlegame; Tactics
Breaks every 45 minuts
11:45 - 12:30 Lunch and activities outside
12:30 - 3:00 Tournaments:
G/30 Tournament  (not rated; 2 games a day). Daily
G/5 (Blitz) tournaments
Bughouse Tournament (Last day of the camp )
3:00-3:30      Games overview with students and Puzzles solving class;
Trophies by sections and grades in all tournaments!
3:30  - 4:00   Students pickup
Closing and Award Ceremony at 3:00 p.m.
