Chess Tiger 2004 by Christophe Théron is the long awaited successor of Chess Tiger 15. This version is nearly twice as fast as the previous version. In addition to the increase in speed more chess knowledge has been added, most notably endgame knowledge. If you think ChessPartner is not strong enough, this is the package for you. Ruffian 2 is a strong program from the Swedish programmer Perola Valfridsson. Recently this program won the dutch open ahead of The King and Chess Tiger. Ruffian 2 is the successor of the freely avaliable free 1.0.5 version. This version has a much higher playing strength which brings it in the same leage with engines as Deep Sjeng and Chess Tiger. One surprising result was the amount of votes for the Internet functions, we where not aware of the importance of this function and shall put more effort in that area. For further conclusions we need to study the results more closely.

New ! This is the long awaited windows version of Ed Schröders Rebel program. Rebel 12 comes with the ChessPartner interface. The engine is programmed using the so called Winboard Protocol, this makes it possible to use the engine under other interfaces.
