R.R.Laxman of Chennai clinched the Bharat Petroleum Trophy International FIDE
Rated Open title, scoring 8.0 points, a full point ahead of second
placed Amardeep Bartakke.
Laxman continued his
fine form from New Delhi where made his third International Master
Norm. The title here at Raipur should boost his confidence and help
him achieve greater laurels.
The International Tournament
for BPCL trophy was jointly organized by the Chhattisgarh Chess
Academy & the Union Club of Raipur on behalf of Chhattisgarh State Chess
Association at Ramsawroopdas Niranjanlal Trust complex, completes yet
another show of traditioinal hospitality from Chhattisgarh.
