Invitation

Dear chess friends,

Following the large success of the Inaugural ACP Tournament, which took place between 12th and 17th April 2004, the ACP is proud to announce it will stage two more tournaments on the Playchess server.

The next event, the Second ACP Tournament, will be a women's event, reserved to all female members of the ACP. It will be staged in one day, on 2nd May 2004 and will offer a total prize fund of 2500 USD.

Chess fans will not have to wait very long to see all of our members once more in action, as the Third ACP Tournament will be held from 31st May until 6th June 2004. The prize fund will be higher than for the Inaugural Tournament, with 6200 USD to be distributed in prizes. As for the Inaugural Tournament, the Third event will be composed of several qualifiying tournaments held between 31st May and 5th June and a final part held on 6 June.

ACP members participating in the upcoming European Championship in Antalya, which ends on 31st May, should not worry as they will be able to choose the day for their qualifying tournament that best fits their schedule.

Detailed prize distributions of both events will soon be announced on the ChessBase website. The necessary registration page will also be installed shortly.

The Second and Third ACP Tournaments are once again sponsored by China Communications Corp. ( “ChinaCom”), which is building the world’s largest Chinese Business to Business (B2B) Platform. The events will be hosted by ChessBase GmbH on the server at Playchess.com.

See you online for more exciting chess battles!
