This game is a variant of Xiangqi (Chinese Chess), adapted to make a game playable for three players.
This is another version of the 3-player game. The board is different from Version 1. In this one, 3 Xiangqi half-boards are placed against the central "triangle" area. Every intersection on the half-boards and in the triangle can be moved upon by the pieces. I see no evidence of any extra pieces (as in The game of Three Friends).

Kwan | None | one more question, do u win by defeating the other two? or one wins after one defeated one or another. if that's so the game could be quite boring, since u can't attack boldly on oneself,(for the other might attack you) and if u can't attack boldly and make good moves, it's no fun about it.. anyways don't quite understand how this works, ...sigh
Ether | Excellent | Just to respond to previous posts: The mid triangle section is just like the river in a regular 1-on-1 game. Meaning it's possible to check both opponents at the same time (or any other moves). I guess it would be less confusing if the lines that made up the triangles are done with dotted lines instead of solid lines. So basically no pieces would ever actually land on any 'points' within the big triangle. And to win the game, you would have to beat both opponents. When I was little, I used to team with my younger brother and play against our dad and it was a good learning experience.
ltlee1 | Poor | No enough firing power on a large chessbroad.
Randy | None | How do u win? Is it by capturing both players OR by defeating one? i.e. If the player to your left is captured, u win. If the player to your right is aptured, the player on the left wins, so in this case, u not only have to guard yourself but a play a part by maintaing the equilibirium of power (just like during the 3 kingdoms).
Sam | Poor | Please tell how the pieces would move in the triangle spaces, for example the knight. Also, is there a river? can the elephant become an attacker? Please tell us. Thanks for your time. |
