Folley beat Martins in this game. In Gould's Memorable Matches, we find a suggested draw for White, which I think should be a Red win. And I think that Martins overlooked a simple win.
Martins - Folley
11-15 24-19 (Second Double Corner) 15-24 28-19 8-11 22-18 10-14 25-22 11-16
22-17 16-20 17-10 6-24 32-28 4-8 28-19 8-11 21-17 11-15 18-11 7-16 26-22 3-7
29-25 7-10 17-13 9-14 31-26 2-7 25-21 14-17 21-14 10-17 22-18 1-6 [diagram]
What would you do, here? Martins makes the following bad move: 18-14?(A) 6-10 13-9 7-11 14-7 5-14 RW.
A - A couple of moves (19-15 or 18-15) look better:
A1 - 19-15? (recommended in Gould's Memorable Matches) 7-10 15-11 10-15 18-14 15-18 (My improvement of A. S. M. Kay's 15-19 23-18 19-23 26-19 16-32 18-15 32-27 14-10 draw) 14-10 6-15 23-14 15-18 looks like a RW to me.
A2 - 18-15! 7-10 15-11 10-14 19-15 WW. This seems too simple for Martins to miss.
