Tom Sheehan won the 2000 Inter-District (I-D) Checkers-By-Mail Tournament (the national championship of checkers-by-mail). I took 4th place, which is a good score; but I played very poorly and carelessly. This tournament was unpleasant for me, for several reasons. And I don't plan to play by mail for a few years. In this tournament, each player played 8 games (up from 6 games in previous years), simultaneously, against each of the other competitors. Here are the final standings:
