Attention All Chessplayers!
On October 29th, we started the CCLA--Palciauskas Thematic Challenge match where CCLA members form a team and play our own World Champion, Vytas Palciauskas! We still have many open slots for this match. Players of all strength are welcome and you can join anytime during the game. Please check out the web site CCLA vs. Victor Palciauskas Match and sign up. This match is part of our 95th anniversary celebration. We will play the King's Gambit (1 e4 e5 2 f4 are prescribed), which was very popular in the early 1900s. The CCLA Team will be White and Vytas will be Black. During the game we will have expert advice. The team votes on moves by email. More information can be
found at the web site.
For signing up, please send an email to Volker Jeschonnek with your name and the email address from which you will send your votes. Please also mention if you are a CCLA member. |
