15th U. S.
Correspondence Chess Championship Final Round
Start Date: 6 October 2003 Preliminary Round
Announcement: End date has been extended again to 30 April 2004 "Welcome to the UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP! We are dedicating this tournament to the memory of Dr. Eugene S. Martinovsky. Dr. Martinovsky won the Second USCCC and tied for first in the Eighth USCCC. He also won both the Illinois and Michigan Championships twice. I first met Dr. Martinovsky when I moved to Illinois in 1977. He introduced me to the Chicago area chess clubs. When I became ICCF-U.S. Secretary he helped me in many ways, including serving as adjudicator when needed. He was a wonderful gentleman in all competitions. He will be remembered and missed by everyone in chess." -- Max Zavanelli |
