May 15-16 GMU/Arlington

We didn't have one in 2003 due to GMU being too expensive without a University sponsor.

Lessons For the Young & Young at Heart:

Kids of all ages have an opportunity to learn and improve their games from stronger players. (Or even better, give some lessons over-the -board!) Several club members give lessons for an hourly rate and are worth it!!

D.C. Chess League:

Club-sponsored teams compete against teams from other clubs. Open, Class A, Class B and Class C teams compete against others in their class. League games are about once a month

Simultaneous Exhibitions:

For a modest fee, play against some of the world's strongest players. Masters and Grand Masters will take on all challengers.

Information:

Annual dues are $30.00  ($15 for Juniors and Seniors). To play rated games or events members must also join U.S. Chess Federation, at$40/year for adults, lower rates for seniors, youth, and additional family members. NTD Mike Atkins, NTD Homer Jones, or other club TDs usually conduct the WBCA Blitz, Quick, & Action Events. TDs Chess supplies are usually available from various vendors.
