 Identifier Letters
 

English language piece names are used for identifying chess pieces in most PGN move text. However, sometimes you may come across a game score that was created in another language, using different letter designations for the pieces. This table is intended to enable you to read those notations by removing the guesswork. Please send corrections or additions to the Webmaster.
