Solution

Every once in a while I like to snoop around one of the many online auction sites for chess-related stuff.  In 2004, I found something of interest:

This must be The Chessville Weekly's long lost ancestor!
The editors included William Napier, among others.  On the first inside page (shown) there is a look at the ending of Salve-Rubenstein, Prague 1908 (with the caption "Asleep at the Switch"), and other chess news.

Salwe,G - Rubinstein,A [C49]
Prague Prague (1), 1908

Rubinstein went on to win the game in nearly a hundred moves, as you can see to the left.  He must have been "Asleep at the Switch" though for missing the attractive 57...g5!  since, as the Editors of The Chess Weekly point out, on 58.hxg5 h4+ 59.Kxh4 Rxf4 wins, and if 58.Bxg5 Rxf3+ 59.Kg2 hxg4 also simplifies the win considerably.
