Oh my heck! Robert Lund is back with "Workin' the Glory" - his first CD since the 2003 holiday album "Elves Gone Wild!" "Workin' the Glory" contains 16 parody songs; lyrics for 13 of them are by Amiright author Spaff.com. (Comments & Parodies)
Johnny D (John Small) was commissioned to write 9 song parodies for The Nashoba Players' recent dinner theatre comedy, "The Awards Show", in which Johnny D played the character "Marshall Brown", a TV stage manager trying to maintain control of a ridiculously chaotic television awards gala (a parody of shows like the Emmy Awards). The link in this news item takes you to a page that displays excerpts from the program of "The Awards Show" --- and on that web page, there is a link at the top titled "Pictures from The Awards Show" which will take you to a page with some related photographs. All of the 9 song parodies Johnny D wrote for "The Awards Show" are also posted here on AmIRight under his name, but with titles different from those used in the program of "The Awards Show" (Johnny D created the titles used for his parodies in the program). Latest outrage inspired by hip hop music? Clothing with a snow man on it. It's a drug reference from a Young Jeezy song. This has to be the most clever subversion of a chilhood icon I've seen to date. (Comments & Parodies)

This punk-classical crossover version of the 12 days is completely unconnected with my earlier "12 days" submission, and it's even funnier, partly because two brains worked on it! Lorin is the punk rocker and I'm the classical castrato performer (Alfredo Sincojones), the resultant mix has to be heard to be believed! If nothing else, it will give you a new vision of spam... While watching Sonic X this morning, I was picturing Amy Rose singing "Pieces of me", thus, this song parody was born! If I wasn't autistic, I wouldn't be fearing the "deaths" of Sonic the Hedgehog! Many apologies for the distortions, and/or lags... Putfile: (MP3) (Comments)
