Welcome to the
Rutherford County Chess Club, Inc.

The Rutherford County Chess Club (R.C.C.C.) was founded in 1992 and incorporated on January 18, 2005. The club meets on Fridays at 7:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 811 East Clark Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Club meetings are open to the public, and players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend our informal club meetings. Apart from the sporting aspect of the game, you will experience a cordial atmosphere in which you will make friends, which has been a key factor in the success of our club. Instruction for beginners is available, and we also offer standard tournament chess equipment.

The R.C.C.C. is an affiliate of the USCF. We usually hold three USCF rated open Swiss tournaments each summer and other USCF and USCF Quick tournaments throughout the year. For years, The Rutherford County Open, The Murfreesboro Grand Prix, and The Battle of Murfreesboro, have been some of the most popular tournaments in Tennessee, and they consistently draw players from several states.
