NASCAR 50th Anniversary Monopoly Game
The birth of NASCAR® can be traced to a meeting in Daytona Beach, FL, in December, 1947, when race
driver and promoter Bill France Sr. called together a group of his peers to
bring organization, control and respect to the burgeoning sport of stock car
racing. The group formed the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing
and incorporated the sanctioning body in February, 1948. NASCAR’s first race
was a Modified event on the Daytona Beach course that was run on the
beachfront and paved public highway.
Now, 50 years later, you’re invited to Pass GO with the commemorative
Monopoly Game: NASCAR Past Champions Limited Collector’s Edition. You’ll
take risks, make deals and own it all building your very own NASCAR empire
by rolling glittery gold dice… capturing milestone moments in NASCAR
championship history… and acquiring red short tracks and gold
super-speedways.
Climb into the driver’s seat and speed around the customized game board
showcasing NASCAR’s 22 racing legends and reigning champions, and relive the
excitement of 50 years of NASCAR championships. These legendary drivers
shaped the early contests and modern races that have propelled the sport
into the classic American pastime and industry that it is today. On the game
board, each champion is spotlighted along with the year (or years) each laid
claim to the prestigious NASCAR championship… from Red Byron and Bill
Rexford to Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty, the KING of
NASCAR! The competition is cutthroat in the quest to own it all!
You’ll also receive customized playing cards and money, as well as a gold
plated key chain all honoring the 50th Anniversary of NASCAR. The entire
limited edition is housed in a handsome, gold foil case.
