A Xiangqi Problem from Murray

This problem is found in H.J.R. Murray’s A History of Chess (Oxford, 1913), p. 129. Murray does not give his source. His solution is incorrect and has been emended here.

Black has mate in one, red in six (not three and five as Murray asserts). The solution for red is given in the diagram.
