Scid's author respects the privacy of users. This page outlines my privacy policies.
This is a SourceForge-hosted site, and any logging of website activity undertaken by SourceForge is beyond my control. In addition to SourceForge's logging, I track very basic statistics to observe how frequently each site page is viewed and collate domain frequencies.
If you send me Scid-related email, your email address will never be given to a third party unless you request so. For example, if you want to get in touch with a Scid translator for a particular language, I'm happy to forward your address to them with your consent, but I cannot provide their address to you without their consent.
The list of subscribers to the scid-users mailing list is also private. I may mention summary statistics (such as what proportion of subscribers have an address from a particular country) but will never make individual addresses available. Note, however, that SourceForge mailing lists are archived and browsable so by posting to the mailing list, your email address may become visible. That is outside my control.
I endeavour to ascertain permission before thanking people by name (for contributions, translation, testing, etc) on this website or in files in the Scid package. If you are not mentioned somewhere and think you deserve to be, or are mentioned somewhere and would rather be anonymous, please let me know and I'll correct it.
