Dorian writes: "My lecture will be about the positional exchange sacrifice.
Many people know that Petrosian was a real master of it, but my purpose is
slightly different – besides reminding people of the the well-known examples,
I want to present the positional exchange sacrifice in some modern games. Sometimes
it happens 'out of the blue' and it is important to understand what is going
on: why apparently for no reason people sacrifice an exchange? Usually it turnes
out that there are deep strategical ideas behind it."
